Good news about the use of a Fractional CO2 Laser for the treatment of lichen sclerosus!

The symptoms of lichen sclerosus are irritation, dryness, intense itching and tearing of the vulvar skin.  The patient may also experience scar and adhesion formation, secondary ulcerations and white blanching of the tissue.

The cause of lichen sclerosus is still unknown and treatment for the condition normally consists of topical steroids. Long term steroid use can have serious side-effects, so we are excited to offer an alternative treatment using the MonaLisa Touch laser.

If you have been diagnosed with or believe you are suffering from lichen sclerosus, you are encouraged to make an appointment with one of our providers today. Our patients have experienced excellent results after just three 5-minute treatments at six-week intervals.
