Andrea Nelson joined Peninsula Women’s Care in March 2016. Andrea most recently was an Instructor at Riverside College of Health Careers with the School of Professional Nursing.

“It is a wonderful feeling to make a difference in another person’s life. As a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at PWC, it is my passion to build trusting relationships with our patients and tailor care to each patient’s personal needs and desires.”

Prior to that, Andrea began her practice as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2012 at Carilion OB/GYN Clinic in Roanoke, VA before moving back to Williamsburg with her family in June 2014. Andrea has been blessed with a rewarding career in the Nursing field since 2001, providing nursing care for patients at Riverside Health System and Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA. Andrea provides obstetric and gynecologic care to women of all ages. Andrea and her husband Shawn have been married for 12 years. They live in Williamsburg with their 2 daughters, Savannah and Charlotte, and beagle “Monkey.” Andrea enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and watching her daughter Savannah at swim meet competitions.
